My Jewelry Show in NY

After the opportunity to display parts of my jade collection at the Asia Society for almost 6 years, it’s always a delight to be part of the annual Asian American Designer Showcase. It gives me chance to meet some of the regular clients that visits the Asia Society and the Asia Store, the best and most enjoyable part is spending time with the lovely people that work at the Asia Society.

After the 2 days show at the beautiful store of Asia Society, had the wonderful time touring the house of Washington Irving’s Sunnyside. Washington Irving is the father of literatures and was made famous for his books, Legend of Sleepy Hollow adn Rip Van Winkle. Interesting to learn of Washington Irving purchased a small stone cottage in Tarrytown in the 19th century and create a romantic story telling home with beautiful landscape and garden…and in taking the tour inside the house, there was indeed a lot that we can learn of his lifestyle and how his early thinkings that was more advance then other in the 19th centuries.

It was a relaxing couple of days staying in White Plains before returning to my home in the bay area, San Francisco. It’s nice to be home after a month’s traveling!! Until I blog again…I look forward to another interesting writing soon!
